Dr Stephen Man

Dr Stephen Man is a Reader in the Institute of Cancer and Genetics, School of Medicine, Cardiff University.

Steve obtained a BSc in Biological Sciences at the University of East Anglia, followed by a PhD in Immunology at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School (now Imperial College) in London. For his post-doctoral training he went to the University of Virginia, USA, before returning to the UK to work with Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz at the University of Wales College of Medicine. Subsequently he was awarded a Royal Society University Fellowship that allowed him to establish his own research group. He became a Reader in the School of Medicine in 2012. His research focuses on cells of the immune system and their potential role in the therapy of cancer. He is currently funded by CRW for projects which examine the impact of the immune on system leukaemia.
